It's all about family and friends with me. Music and bodybuilding are my two biggest passions in life. I can be the biggest wise guy you'll ever meet, yet if you ask those who know me best they'll tell you I'm one of the most genuine folks out there. I love that people who know anything about me feel comfortable in coming to me with their problems. I see it as a grand irony that the very things that make you tired from thought during the day are the same ones that make you restless at night. I think it should be illegal that I have to spend $50 on a shirt and then another $30 to get it tailored so it fits right. I hate how The Men's Wearhouse insists on selling me a pair of 48 inch waist pants and taking 15 inches out of them just in order to get the same deal when I need a jacket so big. I am constantly told that I'm intimidating in appearance, yet I'm still the same guy who used to let the freshmen in front of him during lunch as a senior, and after 10 minutes of talking you'll see that my brain and heart are 100 times bigger than my physique will ever be. I think it'd be a great idea to make Chivalry 101 a required course in school. I also think that the few legitimately good guys out there shouldn't be penalized for falling into this category..... remember, we're the ones everyone wants to be with in the end. I am very open and honest. I am a big fan of learning, but an even bigger fan of teaching. I often take pleasure in simple things like watching a squirrel look for food, the sound of the ocean and listening to bird calls while I look at the sun setting on dew-laden grass (hard to believe I'm not a poet, right?) I love letting my little nieces and nephews beat me at games, and having extensive conversations with them regarding their favorite nicktoons and blossoming social lives. I consider my toy poodles to be like my children. I was afraid to venture off on my own to college, yet I "forgot" to take my last final just so I could stay for one more semester. I'm as hopeless a romantic as they come; yet lately I am just finding the notion of romance to be hopeless lol.
I believe that there's no greater feeling in all the world than to know that your actions so positively affect another as to move them to tears. I love anything that makes me laugh, but have a much deeper appreciation for those things which make me cry. I still believe in the Golden Rule (for those who don't know what it is.... when applied to sexual situations I believe it'd be called "reciprocation" lol). I think it's funny how most people don't realize that when you give, you actually receive much more. I also think I'm developing a slight case of Carpal Tunnel from writing so much.. so enough about me..... "How YOU doin'?"

Family and friends come first. I love singing and bodybuilding. Other than that: going out on the town (aka releasing "the Dan-imal" ;)haha), volleyball (doubles or triples in the sand is the best!), long talks (aka "being Dr. Phil" lol), attending a capella shows and musicals, listening to music, dancing (if it's with the right partner), cuddling, rowing, white water rafting, coaching youth soccer, playing with my pups, occasional mall runs, modelling, reading/researching bodybuilding sciences; Also, the notion of scuba diving has been very intriguing lately
Sports:
"HOW 'BOUT DEM COWBOYS?!"
Music:
I'm very flexible. There's a time and a place for it all, depending on the mood you're in. I love anything by Ryan Cabrera, Lifehouse, Guster, Richard Marx, Rascal Flatts, Boyz II Men, Savage Garden, Billy Joel, Stevie Wonder, the Jackson Five, James Taylor, Ben Jelen, Celtic Woman, Sarah McLachlan, Phil Collins, JOURNEY, Blessid Union of Souls, Josh Groban, Hoobastank, NICKELBACK (Far Away is one of my all time faves!!!), Coldplay, Switchfoot, Staind, Daughtry, Evanescence, Trading Yesterday, Mat Kearney, Augustana, Anberlin... Basically most anything '80s, most alternative, pop and R&B (Timberlake, Ciara, Usher, JoJo, Cassie, Mario Vasquez, Chris Brown, Lil Wayne, Omarion, Akon, T-Pain, Ne-Yo...), rap (Luda!!!, Paul Wall, Ying Yang Twins, Snoop, Juelz Santana)instrumentals (Beethoven, Mozart, John Williams, James Horner, Danny Elfman, Samuel Barber)...... I also love ANYTHING a capella (especially Rockapella) and musicals. As a kid I always loved The Sound of Music, Westside Story and Peter Pan; but now shows like Violet, Pippin and RENT blow me away
Movies:
Romance/ romance-comedies are my favorite genre lol : SERENDIPITY, How to Lose a Guy In 10 Days, Alex and Emma, The Wedding Planner, Hitch, Sleepless in Seattle, A Walk In the Clouds, Never Been Kissed, Ever After, A Walk To Remember, Titanic and yes, even The Notebook.... My favorite movies are ones that can satisfy the deeply analytical, intellectual side of me: The Green Mile, The Shawshank Redemption, Mr. Holland's Opus, RENT, Patch Adams, Simon Birch, Remember the Titans, A Time To Kill, Guess Who's Coming to Dinner, Big Fish, The Last Samurai, Braveheart, Legends of the Fall, Dances with Wolves, The Last of the Mohicans, The Chronicles of Narnia... Old School faves include Grumpy old Men, Groundhog Day, GOONIES, The Cutting Edge, Edward Scissorhands, Rudy, Coming to America, classic Andrew McCarthy (Pretty in Pink, Mannequin) and John Cusack movies (Say Anything, Better off Dead), Stand By Me, Hook, THE PRINCESS BRIDE, Dazed and Confused.... Comedies: Old School, Dumb and Dumber, Scary Movie 2, Napoleon Dynamite, Anchorman, Planes, Trains and Automobiles. I LOVE anything Disney, along with The Lord of the Rings, The Matrix and Star Wars. Plus all of the Rankin-Bass Christmas claymation and animation stuff rocks :)
TV:
SMALLVILLE. I occasionally watch Whose Line is it Anyway, Family Guy, Friends, The Cosby Show, the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, The Wonder Years, Boy Meets World (NO, I DON'T have a crush on the Savage brothers! haha) sports, Sportscenter, all sorts of random shows on the Discovery Channel or the History Channel. I'm also trying to make time for Grey's Anatomy. Oh, and cartoons. I LOVE cartoons.... am still a kid at heart! Really though, I haven't gotten to watch TV much at all since starting the micro job :( haha
Books:
I suppose I wouldn't really connect with too many people here if I started listing things like "Clinical Endocrinology, Third Edition" haha. I miss some of the classics like Watership Down, Brave New World, 1984, The Aeneid, Oedipus, The Hobbit, Romeo and Juliet, Macbeth, Don Quijote, Antigone, the Bible and the DaVinci Code. I also read any and everything I can get my hands on regarding the topics of starting an online business, web design and the like.
Heroes/Idols:
My big brother Jay, my cousins/ brothers Joe and John; Gramps (I'll ALWAYS be your "Little Buddy"), my nephew Mikey- for fighting the good fight and never giving up....
