This is my shoutbox I am so disgusted with the lies told regarding Obama's Health Plan. First there are no death panels. What is the reality is totally volunrary counseling for end of life issues. Bush W. proposed precisely the same thing in his health plan. Nobody will be forced to give up their private insurer. Remember its a public option. Option means choice.
Obama was born in Hawaii, not Kenya. Despite what the Birthers say.

Plus people, mostly men it seems carrying guns, especially machine guns at Health Care rallies. They claim they're exercising their 2nd amendment rights. But geesh its a rally, not a dangerous situation. Bringing guns to such meetings sure can be a way of making the situation dangerous. And why are the Secret Service permitting this nonsense. Is it only me who finds prominant displays of weapons with bullets intimidating?
Guns are okay for hunting animals. They 're NOT for public rallies especially if there are children there.

Movies:
Too many to count.
Most recent On TV. Erin Brocovich
Most recent movie. New James Bond. Terribly bloody but I think Johnny Depp is really cool looking. I especially dig the white streak in his hair for the role.
Maybe its because white streaks run in my father's side of my family.
Out of six uncles, two aunts and my father practically every one of them was born with a white streak in their hair.
TV:
See interests. Learning channel, Discovery, animal planet, Sci Fi,
Daily Show with Jon Stewart and The Cobert Repor' Mostly I like watching classic movies. The latest watched on TV was the 1988 TV version of Inherit the Wind. Its really something this film is still relevant. I can hardly believe there are people who don't believe in evolution. Fundamentalists who instead believe in Creationism and/or Intelligent Design. There is just too much evidence to disprove either Pseudoscience. Now that there's carbon dating, geologists can tell if a fossil is millions of years old. What is so difficult in believing humans came from ground walking apes. If you study the skulls of our prehistoric ancestors you can tell we didn't look like we do now, millions of years ago. Plus if fishes evolved into reptiles and reptiles into primitive mammals then why is it so difficult to see that humans would evolve from the apes? Practically everyone who ever was interested in dinosaurs as a kid realizes they were prehistoric animals. They lived at least tens of millions of years ago. There is just no way the earth could be created in merely seven days. One of my favorite lines from this Inherit the Wind TV version was "The Lord gave man the ability to think. This was said by the Henry Drummond character , played by Jason Robards Jr. Mathew Brady(W.J.Bryan) was portrayed by Kirk Douglas. Film is based on the Scopes Trial in 1925 TN.
It was a test case of freedom of speech and sponsored by the ACLU.
For the historic record, the teacher on trial lost but the case was appealed to a higher court.
Books:
Currently reading Obsessed by Tedd Dekker. I'm obsessed with it.
The plot is a Jewish bookseller whose mother may have been a victim of the NAZI's. It involves too a mysterious Stone of David. I mean literally a stone of David from the hero and king of the OT. Oh did I mention the son of NAZI murderer is gung ho on getting his hands on him. Its an exciting read.
Heroes/Idols:
Barak Obama His idealism, his pragmatic solutions and his integrity. I am really thrilled he won. My late hubby Jerry and I worked on his campaign
