Need Help Promoting your YUWIE? 5 Plans

Hello Friends & Welcome to Yuwie!

After being at Yuwie only 2 days, I realized so many people had no clue as to how to get referrals. Being in internet marketing awhile, I decided, after so many requests, to try to put together a few marketing strategies & suggestions to help people grow their referral trees. You have to know where to cast your nets to be able to catch the fish.

I suggest when you do get new referrals, teach them, in turn, how to grow their tree, by sending them here & to other people's blogs. There are some very good ones and you who have been here awhile know where they are.

Here are some very informative clubs to join:

Masters of Yuwie University

How to Build your YUWIE: Q & A Club

Yuwie Comments & Suggestions

Thank you for visiting! I hope what I have to share helps you :)

Plan 1

OK the first and obvious thing to do is to invite all your friends & family. Do you have an email list? Of course you do! Everybody on the net sends out funnies in emails. Write up an email telling all your friends about Yuwie in your own words so it doesn't sound like a copy & paste advertisement. Make sure you include your link. You can find it in your control panel at the top under "Your Referral URL"

Copy & paste the payplan found under the "HELP" tab.

Q: How much can I make?
A: We can't say exactly, but here's an example of what could happen. The chart below assumes you refer 3 people, and those 3 people refer 3, then those refer 3, through 10 levels, and each referral gets 1000 page views for the month, and the month's RSR is $0.50.

LEVELS - REFERRALS - IMPRESSIONS - EARNINGS
1---------------3---------------3,000---------------$0.15
2---------------9---------------9,000---------------$0.45
3---------------27-------------27,000--------------$0.54
4---------------81-------------81,000--------------$1.62
5---------------243-----------243,000-------------$4.86
6---------------729-----------729,000-------------$14.58
7--------------2,187--------2,187,000-------------$43.74
8--------------6,561--------6,561,000-------------$328.05
9-------------19,683------19,683,000-------------$984.15
10------------59,049------59,049,000-------------$8,857.35

TOTAL------88,572 -----88,572,000------------$10,235.49

Results are not guaranteed. This is just an example of what could happen.

Not everyone is going to signup but hey, you put it out there for them, didn't you? Don't be afraid. What's the worst thing that can happen? They won't join? It's their loss. Wait for a couple months when you've made your first check. You can send them a copy...and a BIG smile!

Attach your link or banner found in your control panel under "referrals", then, "referral tools" to your email signature under your email options. It will be attached to every email you send out.

I must caution you, though, NOT TO SPAM!. Do not send emails to people you don't know. People don't like it and you can get in trouble for that.

I am just laying some ground work here. I hope you are not disappointed in the first post, as it is a very obvious one. But we are starting from basics and I want to start simple. Of course, most of you are already doing this, but if not, do it! It won't hurt---I promise! =)

Plan 2

Traffic Exchanges

Let me very briefly explain TEs (Traffic Exchanges)

Most of them are free so it won't cost you anything.

Basically, you sign up, give them your link to the site you want to advertise (that would be your referral link to Yuwie or whatever else you want to promote). Then you look at other people's ads for 10 or 15 seconds at a time and then click for the next one. For every time you view someone else's ad, or every 2 times, depending on the surf ratio, someone else will view your ad. So if you surf 50 pages, your page will get shown to 25 people. Someone will click on it, sign up and you get the referral. You can surf as long as you want. It's easy and it doesn't take long. And it works. That is how I found Yuwie.

It is best to use a splashpage.  I use Global Domains Intl.  It is not free but I use it as part of another business venture anyway, so it serves two purposes for me.  If you need help with a splashpage, you can visit Oldbuddy.

If you need more detailed instructions on how to use TEs, send me a message and I will send you a short ebook for free. The reason I ask you to message me is because I have to attach it to the email. It is not a live site. Don't worry, I will not share your email address with anyone nor use it to send you anything else.

Here are some TEs that I use personally, to get you started:

(these are clickable links)

DRAGONSURF

PIRATE TRAFFIC

ENVISION

SMOKIN-HITS

SMILEY TRAFFIC

**** A word of caution: Be careful not to get caught up in all the biz ops you will see while surfing. Most of them are aimed at newbies who have not been educated in internet marketing. ALOT OF HYPE!! Although there are a few goods ones, if you are looking to get started somewhere in marketing, most are worthless as far as making any real money online. And it will distract your focus from Yuwie. ;)

Good info. I too found Yuwie through a traffic exchange. I just want to let you and everyone know about an experience I hat with one called trafficroundup.com. I had my add for yuwie on there and I was clicking away and my ad came. I wanted to make sure everything was working OK so I clicked on it. Yes it was my ad it had my email and my pic on it. I decided to go a little farther and I clicked on the join now link. What I found was that the credit for any referrals from that link were not going to me, they were going to someone named Margaret. I put a stop on my ad and put in a complaint about this. That was last night, this morning I booked back in released my ad and started clicking. When my ad came up I checked it out. The name Margaret was gone but the name Deborah was in it's place. I just deleted my account and took my business somewhere else. Thanks Patricia

I had no idea this could happen! Thanks for the heads up.

Patricia, it isn't trafficroundup's fault.... they are displaying the page you entered.
It has to do with the 30 day signup cookie that Yuwie uses and places on hard drive.
I've never been a Big fan of these types of cookies.
If someone clicks my referral link, I should get that referral, not someone else!
If I spend money on advertising, I should also get those referrals, not someone else!

In all honesty, 5 second auto-surfs might be the better way to get referrals so you get your 30 day signup cookie on as many hard drives as possible.

Plan 3

MYSPACE

No doubt many of you have come from there and are anxious to get back and tell your friends about Yuwie...cause it's GREAT here!!

However, I am finding out Yuwie's links are not working at Myspace. I think they're scurred......what do you think? lol

Here's a way you can mask your links.

Start an account at

TheMiniURL.com - Short URL and Link Tracking Service

it only takes a sec. Then follow the simple instructions on creating a new link for your Yuwie. Post your new MiniURL link anywhere at Myspace.

If you want to make your own banner:

Start an account at Photobucket,com

Right click on a Yuwie banner. Click on "save as". That will save it to a file on your pc.

Go back to Photobucket and upload the banner.

In your notepad type: [a href="

then add the new miniURL you just created, followed by "]

then go back to your Photobucket and click on "HTML tag" and copy & paste it after the "]

so far it should look like this:

[a href="http://theminiurl.com/avXX"]

Now add your html tag from photobucket followed by

[/a]

It will all be connected together. No spaces.

Mine looks like this:

[a href="http://theminiurl.com/av43"][img src="http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c247/ddgkmjja/Business/yuwiebox.png" border="0"][/a]

OK THIS IS IMPORTANT--anyplace you see [ replace it with <

and anywhere you see ] replace it with >

That's the only way I knew how to show you without it actually showing up as the banner.

Sounds a little complicated but you can do it if you think just a little :)

I want to direct you now to a very good post in another club on promoting at Myspace. It covers alot of territory & alot of you are already members there, so I just want to cross reference because it has some very good info. If you haven't read it yet, please do at:

How to Build your YUWIE: Q & A Club Message Board

I have alot of html going on here, so if you're reading this and something didn't come out right, don't laugh too hard because I am trying right now to fix it :D

Plan 4

SAFELISTS

What's a safelist?

It's an email forum where you can send offers and biz ops safely to thousands without having to worry about spam complaints. It works similar to TEs except you don't sit and continually look at ads. You simply write up a brief summary, like you did in your personal emails, including your link. Submit it. The safelist owners will then mail out your email ad to all the people in their list (including you).

Many will read your ad, click on your link, and some will sign up. You can submit everyday. New members are always being added and some who didn't read it the first time may read it another time. So do it often.

You may want to set up another email account as you will also be getting email ads from other members of the safelist. If you click on their links, you get points to be able to send yours out more often. You can choose to just delete them without opening if you want.

I personally only use one safelist so as not to have to keep up with the flood of emails from joining more. You can see it here:

ProBlaze

Be sure to ask if there's something you don't understand or have questions about.

CHELE
has some very good information about safelists on her blog "Online Marketing Tactics - Safelists"

Go by and check it out. I am finding some very good information in club members' blogs. Look out....I'm on the scout!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
add:
If you're only going to use one safelist, you probably won't need to open another email account. But more than that, maybe.
Here is a very short ad I put out recently:
"I have often said if I could get paid from using Myspace, I could own a small island by now!
If you're into social networking, [FIRST_NAME], you'll love this........"
Short & Sweet. You can add more. Write whatever you want. I wouldn't make it too long, though. They may or may not read it all.
adding [FIRST_NAME] inserts the reader's first name.
Headlines are important so you will get them to open the email. Mine read,"Myspace is DEAD!" Sort of intriguing. Makes you wonder what's inside.
You should try using different ones. If people see the same one over & over, they aren't as apt to open it again.
nice plans you have. worth to try
Plan 5
Other Networking Sites
Since Yuwie IS a social networking site, the next best place to go to get newcomers back here is other social networking sites. Sounds logical, right? People love them and they are popping up everywhere. You don't have to spend alot of time there (obviously we don't want to since Yuwie's the BEST =)
Set up your profile (it doesn't take long). You'll want to immediately get your banner ads and info up ASAP since you will be listed in the new members section and people will be coming to your page to invite you to be friends. Start clicking around and adding friends so they will come and see your page and your ad. You can join clubs or groups and make posts. Write blogs. Copy & Paste the payplan found in Plan 1 to show the earnings people can make here while doing what they already love doing. You will have to go back and work it now and then, making new friends, comments, posts, updates on Yuwie (growth rate, additions, etc) but don't spend too much time there, we want you HERE! :D
Here are 3 sites that are actually social/business sites and they welcome advertising. So, post your little hearts out!!!
BizPreneur
Rotatrix Friends Network
Apsense
These are in prelaunch but will be live soon:
uVme  (features online games)
FriendsWin  (features video dating & conferencing)
There are lots of others besides Myspace & Facebook, but those do have a much larger target area. Use whichever ones you choose. Or ALL of them. ( :P exaggerating a little) NOW let's see what we can do!!
Wow! Thats a very intensely good guide! I never knew about safelists...
Thanks.
And how effective are traffic exchanges? How many signups have you gotten from them?
