| Disturbing Trend - Commercial Use of Yuwie |
|
Greetings my Yuwie Family!
Tonight I would like to get your take
on the alarming (and escalating) trend I've noticed of Yuwie members
who are either knowingly or unknowingly 'advertising' their various
offers by messaging, posting on their blogs/pages, starting 'clubs'
that are no less than flagrant advertisements for their various
products and 'opportunities', etc. - and how this may come to affect
Yuwie's current and prospective commercial advertiser dollars and with
it our Yuwie member future earnings.
I am sure anyone who's been
an active member for even a short while have noticed at least an
example or two of the above. How long before the 'paying' advertisers
notice this trend as well?
What the members who are skirting the
TOS are doing may not even realize the potential harm this could bring
to our community as a whole, let alone that they may be putting their
own membership (and future earnings) at risk with this behavior.
Yuwie Terms Of Service state in part:
"10. Non-commercial Use by Members. The Yuwie Services are for the
personal use of Members only and may not be used in connection with any
commercial endeavors except those that are specifically endorsed or
approved by Yuwie.com. Illegal and/or unauthorized use of the Yuwie
Services, including collecting usernames and/or email addresses of
Members by electronic or other means for the purpose of sending
unsolicited email or unauthorized framing of or linking to the Yuwie
Website is prohibited. Commercial advertisements, affiliate links, and
other forms of solicitation may be removed from Member profiles without
notice and may result in termination of Membership privileges.
Appropriate legal action will be taken for any illegal or unauthorized
use of the Yuwie Services."

I
have a question about this as well - what happens to the member group
of an individual who was to have their membership terminated, whatever
the reason and how many tiers down? Will they be lost to the sponsor
as well - who happened to bring the offending member into Yuwie? That
would truly be a shame for those who work at building their Yuwie
groups.
In closing, I would like to state that at this point I
have not mentioned these concerns to anyone else or the 'offending'
members whose questionable promotions I've run across here, and I
certainly do not want members who read this to become 'censors' of
other members here - that would be up to the Yuwie TOS team, but if you
share any of the concerns I've mentioned above and would like to try to
help our own sponsored member groups keep from straying to close to
breaking the TOS - you are welcome to direct them here to this
discussion and maybe we can keep them from losing their Yuwie
membership before it's too late.
If I am anywhere near correct
in my judgement of the Yuwie opportunity that this will soon become an
internet phenomena, and in doing so have a huge impact on a lot of
member's bank balances - I would feel awful if someone already here at
the virtual start of this wouldn't be able to share in the success
because of something so simple to correct!
Thank you, John3 |
