New Antispam Policy

In the last 2 days, the Yuwie.com domain was almost cancelled by our registrar, Go Daddy, Inc. Because we are registered through Go Daddy, we are required to abide by their terms of service, just like Yuwie users are required to be bound by ours.

They have been getting a lot of spam complaints, and to keep them from canceling Yuwie.com, we've come to an agreement with them. Starting today, we are REQUIRED to delete all member accounts that are reported by Go Daddy for spam complaints.

We have added a section in our regular TOS about this, and all members will be required to accept these new terms before you continue use of Yuwie.

Spam has become a MAJOR problem with the reputation and growth of Yuwie. Hopefully our partnership with Go Daddy will take care of the problem once and for all.

Nelson	I guess from now on even the innocent comments on blogs could be a cause to be banned? I wish that would be clearer. Blogs do have a URL field that you fill out when you are commenting, along with an e-mail and name field. I guess I better reread SPAM TOS again.

Nathanael	i agree the spammersaregiving yuwie a bad name .... get rid of em all .... lol ... the rules are not to spam other sites with referral links ... im not sure how it stands with adverts on our own yuwie profile ... have to read the tos ... but before yuwie was cool with us having links on our yuwie profile as long as it doesnt take up the majority of the content

Yes,but different people consider different stuff to be spam. I suppose they should just delete our referral links because advertising to some could be considered spam.Different people consider different stuff to be spam and all a person has to do is say to GoDaddy that I spammed them and I loose all the work I have already done and my friends I have obtained.Also,lets say.... Mary Smith is mad at me,so she deceides to tell GoDaddy that I spammed her.Oh well..........

I agree totaly with what you said. They locked me this past Friday. They said that I had spammed yuwie. When they sent me the reason it said I told people for health to go read my blog was considered spamming. Cant really understand that one. But I do agree with you. What do you talk about now, what is construed as spam for one person might not be for someone else. What if someone needed the products I have for health concerns and someone stopped that do to spam. I feel that an infringement on health rights. You can bet your bottom dollar I wont mention nothing about reading a blog again on the notice board which I have seen many doing the same thing and nothing happened to them. affiliatelan...	I so agree with you. Another thing...sometimes people hit the wrong button in an email saying that it is marked for spam and they didn't do that. I have done that by accident. People are so fed up with spam but the fed up people are trigger happy!

Herbert Belt...	I agree. I think that user should be notify before account is delete. Some people just complaint of SPAM with no fundation. If account owner is able to show opt in of the people who complaint , account should not be delete because is a false complaint. But if account is delete without notifying the user, how can we prove that we did not spam.

Thats right... we should have at least a warning or something... i heard that some people were using their referrals links to build up their downline.
So that's not good at all.... we can be deleted even if we did nothing.....

I say it should work like in baseball.... after the 3rd strike youre out.

This is too radical... and users have no protection agaist it. Arent we the ones BUILDING up Yuwie here?
Anyone jealous or with bad intentions can report other users... and we lose ALLL... i dont think my friends are gouing to be in my downline anymore unless they close their accnts and sign up again.

I thing WE the users are in danger with this new concept.

	I agree, there were false reports of offensive material when the report of a referral policy was enacted....I can only hope it will be investigated first....but that would take up to much time.....I guess.

Whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty? Just because you're reported, that doesn't mean you're actually guilty, does it?

According to the TOS:
'We define spam as the sending of Unsolicited Commercial Email (UCE) or Unsolicited Bulk Email (UBE), which is email sent to recipients as an advertisement or otherwise, without first obtaining prior confirmed consent to receive these communications from the sender.'

Excuse me? We're not allowed to send people e-mail and/or post to newsgroups? NB that there are Yuwie users like myself whose native language is not English, and may have a hard time understanding Legalese.

	Well I had to put my 2 cents in on this one. Innocent until proven guilty................???? If you read it properly this is not a Yuwie decision. It is something we have to implement to stay alive, or Go Daddy shuts us down. If you dont know how to advertise ,without spamming you need to stop on by my show and I will show you the difference :)

This actually scares me a little. I have a downline in another business that I was sending invites to . *shrugs*

I use links across the webs emails too, since they have to agree to get email from each member before they sign up . They give you lots of leads and I don't consider that spam. Oh well. People are cruel like that. I've also been told we can't advertise in our shoutbox. I see a lot of people doing it though . What if I put a flyer/image and link it to my blog? Is that still considered advertising your business? What about all those GDI and spiderwebmarketing banners that I see all over the place? I only want to promote 2 things: Web2upgrade.com and Yuwie.com.

I have to agree with innocent until proven guilty.But we have to remember that we are a bunch of people at the bottom of the ladder that mean nothing.Recently I contacted TPTB about if something counts as apage view and received a response back,not telling me if it did or not.TPTB said,what counts as a page view does not matter that Yuwie was made to socailize.My question was not answered.I have seen where people would report people for spam even when they answered an add that they view at a classified ad and it did not turn out the way that they expected,so report them for spam.Since we are not being warned and the situation researched I think next they will be getting rid of our referral tools (URL,banners,etc.) also.When I first joined I was advised by Yuwie to get business cards with my url to help advertise.Now Iam being told that I wasted my money on them.Oh well,what can you do when you are at the bottom of the totum pole.

I agree with others that there needs to be some sort of warning implemented, or at least a way for the user to dispute the spam claim before the account is completely deleted and all is lost. Could godaddy possibly implement an account suspension the first time around and maybe a delete on the second offense? Also, I hear that no ads are allowed on our profiles, but does that include things like search bars? I have a few things on my profile that I do not consider advertisements, but our definitions could be different.

THAT is NOT SPAM YUWIE support ! YOU need to rewrite this spam thing !

TO tell others that using yuiwe message system by mass mailing all in one day is SPAM !

I don't understand spam. With the USPS they are delivering us all these sales ads and we had no money to buy stuff.We asked the postman to stop delivering it to us and he said that he had to because it was mailed to our address and that it is a federal law that he has to deliver what mail he has to whatever address it has on it,because if he doesn't it will be tampering with mail.It is illegal to stop it with snail mail,but illegal to send it if it is. And spam means different stuff to different people.In the past I had sent some stuff,not Yuwie or any other online money making opp or group. I belonged to an offline club and the woman that normally would send out the newsletter's was ill and asked me if I could do it instead.So,I did and I got one email returned to me and I was blocked from ever sending them anything.So,I called them and asked them why they did that and they said that I was not on their contact list,so I was automatically blocked and that I should have called them firs
