| DO ANIMALS HAVE SOULS? |

Humans eat and animals eat.Humans sleep and animals sleep.Humans mate and animals mate.Humans defend themselves and animals defend themselves.So why with all these similarities do we say that animals have no souls?It is true that humans are more intelligent than animals but it is simply a matter of degree.How can we deny animals a soul simply on the basis of degree of intelligence.Even amonst humans there are different degrees of intelligence.Can we deny mentally retarded humans a soul because they have less intelligence?
Humans say that they love there cats or dogs.We can only have an emotional relationship with another soul.We may like our car or computer but we cannot have an emotional relationship with our car or computer.So if animals have souls we should not take there lives and eat them.
