Testament from a (former) Christian
Testament from Brian

Canon-

Your blog and all of the comments that followed is dead nut and it brings back a lot of bad memories (too many to mention). I don’t normally share this but believe it or not years ago I actually went through ministry school and served in organized religion for a short period of time. If you think O.R. is bulls**t, try getting a back stage pass to it. It will literally turn your stomach! I walked out and have never turned back. For something that is supposed to be centered on a God of unconditional love, it instead operates on a doctrine that promotes the exact opposite inciting hatred, division, condemnation, fear, you name it, and uses (and needs) all of those components to insure a steady inflow of bucks. I refer to it as the “business of religion”, and that’s all it is in the end. It has nothing to do with God.

The guy that you met is rare but what I consider a true believer and probably goes by this true biblical outline, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and love your neighbor as yourself”. It’s real simple but religion twists it to mean love your neighbor only if he or she is a heterosexual, white, republican, upper class, non-smoking, non-drinking, non-drugging, non-cursing, Little House on the Prairie watching m*********ker! At that point you’re free to love them, invite them to your church, and encourage them to bring their checkbook. Anyone outside of that mold, write ‘em off as undesirable. Give me a f**king break, which brings me to the point made that Jesus hung out with a w***e
you guys left out thieves, drunks, murderers, and a whole lot of other “non-religious” types. In fact my guess is if music were around like today, he would have probably been found front row at a few Motorhead concerts too (and having a blast).

Still think the government isn't corrupt?

Yeah it's a response to an athiest who wrote a blog about a guy he met, and was just absolutely amazed that a Christian could be a decent and accepting person who not only didn't care that he said 'f**k' a lot but didn't preach anything at him or comment on his shirt... the guy who said this is from Tenessee.

Jesus Christ loved the Sinner, the poor, downtrodden, and he even loved the prostitute. He had issues with those who were wealthy and threw big money in the coffers, but not as much as the could have. He loved the woman who had just a few Mites to put in the coffers, becouse she cashed in everything she had. This is the Jesus I worship. I do my best to live by that example. No, not my job to convert or to save that is between the person and God to do.

Well I actually recently found out (by reading Holy Bible) that Jesus wasn't that great either, and if weren't for the 'God' to overshadow him he'd be considered pretty bad. However, this was IMAGE of Jesus as maintained by Christian churches is that he's great and helps people, and that is what the followers are supposed to follow.

The Christians that 'hate' people for, for example, being gay, are retarded in my opinion because according to Holy Bible every sin is EQUAL, meaning lust and jealousy are no worse. As far as life on Earth is concerned, follow your own morals and only cut out those who have truly done something wrong.

btw I don't hate Christians I just hate the religion itself, and the CHURCH, INC. (UNITED NATIONS INC. is owned by the Vatican according to three unconfirmed reports).
