A way to talk to people straight away is to get a chat box - Xat - offer the best free chat boxes in my opinion, as they don't bug you to upgrade all the time, and it has all the features you need. Anyone can just type in the box and say hello - or you can set it up for members only chats.

For Yuwie and most social networks I reccommend putting it on your profile page / in your shout box.

 You can add your Yuwie profile or referral url in the little 'home' icon next to your name by clicking on your assigned name after your first post - i.e click your name in the right side box and you can change your photo, name and add a web url.

 You have a choice of plugging in a ready made box - like mine - or creating your own -

My chatroom for example is for anyone to chat about anything, bearing in mind I see it as a coffee house or cafe and that's my theme (or niche)  You simply chat about stuff you might chat about over a coffee, on a lunch break or out shopping.

I'm like the cafe owner and there is a link to my contact us page - so if you ever wanted to see a real coffee menu and order some coffee on-line - you have the added bonus of being connected to a real on-line coffee shop owner that can recommend a range of Healthy Coffee products.

If your niche was gardening - you might want to create your own gardening themed chatroom with a tree in the background (or similar) and chat about gardening related things.

So this chat room is mainly for coffee talk but, also cafe talk :-) - If you install this chat room on several networks it will eventually fill up like a cafe would, it see a quick way to connect to others surfing the web - add a chatbox to your home page and every time you log on-line everyone knows you are avaliable to chat  - you just copy and paste the code anywhere that allows flash.

Okay I've changed the layout of my profile page and I'm setting up a separate comments page as it slows down the loading on the front page.

Yuwie no ads option - good idea - could do with some alternate ways to earn ad free days - like if a person logs in every day of the week they earn a 'credit' of some sort like the people for sale thingy, then if you build up enough 'credits' you can trade it in for an ad free day or do it by the hour or something.

Paid membership option is another one - charge $9.95 a month for yuwie "super networkers" or something similar - get a shiny badge on our profile or have 3 levels - could probably squeeze more out of people - I dunno ideas is all.

Yuwie is getting so b***hed at by other networks lately I kind of feel I have to defend it, which is kind of ironic seeing as alot of the ads are ...well... you know... anyway...

Yes Coffee, coffee, coffee - that is the niche I am focusing on most for a while now - like a comitment to a niche - even ning nomads has been snapped my the coffee beast!

You can't put lemon in coffee - but saying that some kind of lemon marshmellow latte, moosey kind of thing might work...

AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! my dog has an infection of a gland 'on her rear' and I am really hoping the vet doesn't show me how to clear that darn thing myself, I just don't think I have the dexerity for it.  Note: if this as happened to your dog you'll know exactly what I am talking about...

Any way I'm gonna get her to the vets for some antibiotics then see if there is a high fiber suppliement or some thing to keep dogs more regular....

I didn't realise that "scooting" thing when they crawl on their butt with their legs and tail in the air, was a sign of blocked glands - I always thought is was some kind of under dog ritual pets did to be cute and make their humans laugh.

Well now I know...

I find it kind of bizzare in the age of obesity that Squidoo would decide to Ban health and Fitness lenses - it kind of strikes me that they have taken the good points of Ning then totally taken it a step too far banning the type of thing you are allowed to like.

For example I've always like eBooks and recipe websites, supafoods and stuff, now they are saying fitness and health is spambait

I find it slightly less surprising that  x rated is banned, and yuwie does seem to get banned in many places because of the large amount of pop ups.

Here's there list of banned stuff - I'd be interested to hear your point of view on networks deciding your non sexual/violent niche / hobby or interest is not good enough for there platform.

--Yes, weight loss and dieting lenses are far more often spam than good--especially when they're selling something, or promoting an affiliate site. Acai berry reviews have earned a rotten reputation elsewhere on the web, for example, and that's seeping into Squidoo as well.

--Affiliate lenses promoting other affiliate programs. Go figure. (For example, the Yuwie affiliate network has been spamming Squidoo with the same content, thousands of pages a week, for a while. --Gambling lenses. (Yeah, that means you, TexasHoldem lenses. And most poker lenses. We'll probably overcorrect heavily on these, and can't guarantee that we can move swiftly to unlock false positives. Your best bet is just to stay away from gambling and lottery lenses or the topic in general).

--Dealing with credit card debt, cash gifting, envelope stuffing, mortgages, currency trading, Forex, Regenesis, etc. There's a clear way to make good stuff on this topic, but alas, most people just make spambait on it.

--Hate lenses. Sure, you can give negative reviews. But spewing hate at a person crosses the line, and if we get contacted about them we might lock them. Think happy thoughts.

--Ringtones lenses. Free (and so-called legal) movie download lenses. Free Mp3 download lenses. Yikes. These exploded in the last year, and we've never seen ONE that's worth anyone's time. Really.

--Illegal Adult lenses. Child pornography, anyone? No.

--Lyrics lenses. Be careful. We're getting swamped by these, and most of the time they are junky, copied and pasted, and have serious copyright issues. If you have an entire account dedicated to lyrics lenses, make sure you're adding a significant amount of personal review and curation, quoting correctly, and don't steal from someone else on the web.

--And a few that are harder to generalize, but obvious when we see them.

Well it's starting to work for me, nothing major going on i.e I still can't afford the penthouse and the hot tub just yet... but I'm working on it :P - BUT but I do get people going through the 3CM system...and I do have dollars building up in my GDI account.

I've probably said this before, but I'll say it again - 3CM can been seen as a tool for gathering leads and organizing them, 3CM is just one of the systems I use, I also use Mike Dillards Magnetic sponsoring - that is another way of bringing leads to you for free.

Once you have those leads you need to teach them how to use the 3CM system - the easiest way to do this is to set up a blog on Yuwie or Twitter or a group like this one, as you need to communicate with others in the program to swap methods for getting leads into the program.

The other thing I recommend you do - is pick a niche - a subject you find interesting enough to learn about and become an "Expert" in - knowledge is power -

Now with your leads, once you have befriended them - as face it, many of us here are selling and trading stuff with each other (which is all business/trading really is - swapping goods and services to and frow for currency and generating a profit from it, if you are a good seller!) - so we might as well get to know each other and find out what each other sells!

So you get to know what people do, they also get to know what you do - then next time they are networking with a person that is looking for a particular product or service and your niche pops up - make sure they remember YOU in connection with that niche - that is the key to real marketing, knowing who does what.

The lead generation tools are really like giant vaccum cleaners sucking potential new associates towards you - how are you going to treat them - like dirt or like gold dust ?

There is so much FREE stuff and new opportunities floating about at the moment it can make your head spin, but if you are reading this, YOU ARE FOCUSED ! - and I am telling you, 3CM is as good any any other system out there, don't be put off by claims it doesn't work - but also don't forget what I said about finding a Niche!

The niche I've settled on is coffee products and services, with the healthycoffee craze being the next 'supafood' - I figure I'm in with a chance of making some sales if I learn enough about the products to sell them! - I read a few ebooks on php (enough to teach me how to install a scr i pt on my website without it dying!) and I've now got myself a Healthy coffee downline club.

I've plugged 3CM into the coffeeclub system to give my coffee affiliates a way of generating leads - that's how confident I am with Dan's system.

I also have a blog for training affiliates and a marketing club for freebies - the reason I m focused is because I know that all this is about one thing COFFEE - selling it and getting leads - meet enough people, engage with them for long enough and eventually people will know who you are, none of it involves spam - it involved mingling in groups on-line - finding the influencers, the chatty ones, the miserable ones, the friendly ones etc.
